JULY 17 WHITESHELL WILDFIRE UPDATE

No new fires have been identified so far today. Yesterday’s fire near the Camp Lake portage in the Falcon Lake area is being managed with one crew and a helicopter assisting with bucketing. The fires from earlier in the week are under control. None of the fires have posed a threat to cottages.

As of 4:00 PM a fire was just reported just north of Falcon Lake on the Camp Lake portage. Initial Attack crew on route. Water bomber on route. SEWFD fire boat in the water assisting Manitoba Wildfire Service. Updates will be shared as they become available.
