Message from our Partners at Manitoba Parks that they asked us to share on yesterdays fire (fire has been contained)

"and crews are on site ensuring it is put out.... the fire did burn part of the Falcon Creek Hiking Trail and we have closed it until our crews have had time to assess any damage or hazards and to ensure it is safe for the public. We hope to have it re-opened as soon as possible and will inform you when it is."

Posted online: www.gov.mb.ca/sd/parks/fire_restriction.htmlFalcon Creek Self-guiding Trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park is CLOSED due to an active fire in the area.
Crews are working to extinguish the fire and clear hazards from the trail.
