Test your birding skills this weekend as we take flight with the avian park residents.

Wildlife Rehab Amphitheatre Presentation Friday, August 19, 2016 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Location: Falcon Lake Amphitheatre Join our guests from the Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre to learn how injured wildlife is rehabilitated and returned to the wild. Then get up close with their live wildlife ambassadors. Stick around afterwards for our feature film: Eyewitness – Bird.

A Treaty for the Birds Special Event Saturday, August 20, 2016 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Location: Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary In 1916 the Migratory Bird Treaty Act was passed protecting hundreds of bird species. Join us to celebrate the Treaty’s centennial with crafts, GPS scavenger hunts and a special presentation on what the act has done for us. Afterwards, enjoy free hot dogs and refreshments.

Let’s Get Looney Family Program Sunday, August 21, 2016 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Location: Whiteshell Natural History Museum The haunting call of the Common Loon is described by some as the most beautiful sound heard in the boreal forest. Come learn more about one of the most majestic birds in the Whiteshell and make a looney craft to take home.
