WHITESHELL WATER UPDATE: JUNE 16

Posted on: June 16, 2022  |   , ,

Manitoba Parks provided the following shorter update today to highlight the changes

Whiteshell Daily Update: June 16, 2022

Water levels are slowly receding or remaining stable throughout the entire park with the exception of Star Lake that saw a small increase for the second day in a row. A log was removed yesterday from the West Hawk control structure.

Manitoba Parks continues to discuss daily with Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure (MTI) on a plan for safe access to Betula Lake. The water on PR307 south of Betula Lake, north of the junction of PR309 and 307 continues to recede slowly and it is being monitored on a daily basis.

We expect to have a larger report tomorrow with the expected release of the Manitoba Hydro weekly forecast.

Please check ManitobaParks.com for detailed closures or contact the Parks info line for water, flood and closures: 204-340-6769 between 8am and 6pm daily.
