Manitoba Hydro reported the following on Sept 12/22
Water flows on the Winnipeg River have been falling steadily since the start of June. We expect flows and levels to continue to fall at the same rate or slightly quicker and be in the normal range prior to freeze-up. Due to a heavy snowpack coming into spring and extreme spring precipitation – the Winnipeg River had the highest flows on record this year.
Winnipeg River flows peaked in mid-May and residents and resource users along the Winnipeg River may have noticed a gradual and continuous decline in water flows and levels.
