Manitoba Parks provided the following shorter update today to highlight the changes
Whiteshell Water Daily Update for June 14, 2022
Water levels are slowly receding or remaining stable throughout the park. Updated conditions for today are below.
Parks staff were in the Betula Lake closure area on Monday, June 13 checking on infrastructure and water levels. Water continues to slowly recede along the highway and Betula Lake itself. Recreational facilities in the area remain above lake level and are high and dry. Manitoba Parks is continuing to work with Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure on a plan for safe access to Betula Lake
Backcountry campsites and canoe routes (including the Mantario) are now open, with the exception of the following: the Whiteshell River from White Lake to the Winnipeg River, the Caddy Lake Tunnels, and the campsites located upstream of Lamprey Falls towards Eaglenest along the Winnipeg River remains closed due to flooding, high water conditions, and frequently changing portage conditions.
Please check ManitobaParks.com for detailed closures or contact the Parks info line for water, flood and closures: 204-340-6769 between 8am and 6pm daily.
