Whiteshell Waste Depot Updates

Posted on: April 8, 2021  |

The Parks and Protected Spaces Branch has provided us with the latest update on the waste depots.

Pictured below are recent photos of the new waste depot location at Jessica Lake .

The Jessica waste depot is close to completed.  There is just the final topping to go on, concrete to pour and the bins to come.

The work on the Otter Falls site has now now started.

The Waste Strategy in the South Whiteshell has not changed much from the late fall update.  The work is waiting to be able to pour concrete and road restrictions to come off.

Type “waste” in the Search bar on the WCA home page for more information about waste initiatives.

Whiteshell Snowmobile clubLooking for a Fulfilling Opportunity?WE WANT YOU! We all know that snowmobile trails don’t just happen. It takes resources and many volunteer hours to maintain 13,000 kilometers of snowmobile trails in the areas of signing, grooming, equipment maintenance, shelter upkeep, etc. Why volunteer? People volunteer for many different reasons. For some, it’s to help others and give back to the community and club. For others, it is to build self-confidence, gain personal growth and learn new skills. We know it’s important to get outside during winter and enjoy all that Manitoba has to offer. Giving your time lends you a sense of well-being and connectedness to others and certainly fights boredom. It allows you to share your talents, abilities, and experiences while at the same time learning new skills from others. And don’t forget volunteers can have fun and enjoy themselves by making new friends. To volunteer please contact Snoman at info@snoman.mb.ca or your local club today! ... See MoreSee Less
