Update on Seven Sisters Spillway Deck Closure

Posted on: March 18, 2021  |

Manitoba Hydro has announced that due to on-going work at Seven Sisters Generation Station The Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail) near Seven Sisters will be closed until March 23 and again from April 5 to November 1
This project was initially scheduled for the spring of 2020, but because of COVID-19 the heat trace system project was pushed to the spring of 2021.

Manitoba Hydro will install a new heat trace system, in the intake headblock, at Seven Sisters Generating Station which will reduce future concrete deterioration due to freeze/thaw cycles.
