Request for Volunteers

The Trail Association of the North Whiteshell is seeking multiple volunteers for board/administration positions. Volunteers for these positions are not required to be full/part time residents of the park.

Volunteer Duties

Board/Administration positions will work as a group to coordinate and manage the functions of the Trail Association.  These positions would include grants, memorial bench program, volunteer coordination, communication, treasurer, etc.)

These positions will help guide the North Whiteshell Trail including the incorporation of existing bike trails in Big Whiteshell.

North Whiteshell Trail

The North Whiteshell Trail is approx. 105km’s in length, spanning from the Seven Sister Generating Station (Dam) east to Nutimik, and south to Rennie. This trail is also part of the greater 24,000 km plus Trans Canada Trail. It’s diverse landscape contains many lakes, waterfalls, stunning exposed bedrock, and coniferous forests. It’s proximity to many Whiteshell lodges and campsites offers unlimited adventure & tourism potential.

If you have questions or need more information reach out to DJ at the taotnw@gmail.com. NWTA will have the full support of Trails Manitoba – they just need volunteers to form a board to get started. Do your part to make the Park the best it can be.

Whiteshell Snowmobile clubLooking for a Fulfilling Opportunity?WE WANT YOU! We all know that snowmobile trails don’t just happen. It takes resources and many volunteer hours to maintain 13,000 kilometers of snowmobile trails in the areas of signing, grooming, equipment maintenance, shelter upkeep, etc. Why volunteer? People volunteer for many different reasons. For some, it’s to help others and give back to the community and club. For others, it is to build self-confidence, gain personal growth and learn new skills. We know it’s important to get outside during winter and enjoy all that Manitoba has to offer. Giving your time lends you a sense of well-being and connectedness to others and certainly fights boredom. It allows you to share your talents, abilities, and experiences while at the same time learning new skills from others. And don’t forget volunteers can have fun and enjoy themselves by making new friends. To volunteer please contact Snoman at info@snoman.mb.ca or your local club today! ... See MoreSee Less
