Stars Ambulance Rescue on the Island

On Sept. 12, seven Manitoba business and community leaders set a new event fundraising record when they were stranded on an island in Whiteshell Provincial Park and to secure their ‘rescue’ and return to civilization.  They were challenged to fundraise as much as possible from the island using their mobile phones and personal and corporate networks.

Since April 2014 Stars has made 37 life saving missions to the Whiteshell Provincial Park and a further 51 missions to the Pinawa area.
