South Whiteshell Trail Association Celebration – August 26th

Posted on: August 10, 2017  |

Message from South Whiteshell Trail Association’s Event Planners:

The South Whiteshell Trail Association is once again planning a celebration and promotional event of The South Whiteshell Trail.  On August 26 we will be part of the Canada-wide celebration to mark the grand opening of The Great Trail.  We have lots to celebrate, we are lucky enough to have one of the most beautiful trail sections in the country right here in the South Whiteshell.

To mark the event our Annual Trail Festival is moving back to the Green Space at Falcon Lake.  We will be setting up a tent across from the mall where we will be providing trail information and maps, live music, food, arts and crafts, a bike maintenance area, and a bike skills area.

Our trail has becoming a major attraction for our park users.  Our goal is to further the cause..  As part of our celebration we will be hosting hiking and biking trail events. We are also working on the development of mountain bike trails to further enhance the trail users experience.  Immediately following our event, there will be a guided mountain bike ride starting at Caddy Lake Resort and Campground. Our goal is to see more people on the trails.
