Public Access to Winnipeg River generating stations restricted due to COVID-19

Posted on: April 15, 2020  |

Manitoba Hydro has announced that due to safety concerns with social distancing related to COVID-19, they are closing the spillway decks and walkways to public access at all generating stations on the Winnipeg River: Pine Falls (highway and walkway still open); Great Falls, McArthur Falls, Seven Sisters, Slave Falls and Pointe du Bois generating stations.

This restriction will also affect access to those portions of the Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail) crossing these generating stations. This restriction is effective April 15 and is in effect until further notice.
