Notice from Lake of the Woods Control Board- Information for the Cottagers along the Winnipeg River

Posted on: September 19, 2019  |

The message in the LOW’s  Notice Board in the link below may be of interest to cottagers along the Winnipeg River.

The changes proposed are not dramatic, but it shows that they are reactive to the changes in water level of the lake, and that they are trying to make changes gradually (to the extent feasible) so as not to cause harm to shoreline infrastructure.  Also, the fact that the level of Lac Seul is still only at the 20% of the normal range, shows how  dry the northern Ontario region had become this summer as well – it is nice to see it coming up fairly dramatically with rainfall as well.
