May 8 Water Level Fluctuations at Slave Falls

Manitoba Hydro reports that on May 8th the water level between Pointe Du Bois and Slave Falls will be lowered around 3 feet and then returned to the original level over a period of about 20 hours, in order to close the Slave Falls spillway.  Water level fluctuations downstream of Slave Falls at Nutimik Lake are expected to be minor (within about a half foot [15 cm]).
