Manitoba Hydro Warns Water Levels May Drop along Winnipeg River

Posted on: November 9, 2020  |

WCA received the following message from Manitoba Hydro on November 9.

Please be aware water levels near Lac du Bonnet may be lower than normal starting today until around November 13.

Customers along the Winnipeg River, around Lac du Bonnet between Seven Sisters and McArthur generating stations, may notice lower-than-usual water levels starting today until around November 13 as Manitoba Hydro is completing scheduled maintenance at Great Falls.

The water may drop around 6 inches and is expected to be back to seasonal levels by November 13.

There will be no power interruptions in the area due to the maintenance work at Great Falls generating station.
