Manitoba Hydro Reinforcing Dyke at Sevin Sisters

Posted on: November 1, 2019  |

Manitoba Hydro has announced that due to very high flows on the Winnipeg River they will reinforce the small tailrace dyke downstream of the Seven Sisters Generating Station. We may notice more construction vehicles in the area.

Please remember public access to the Seven Sisters’ spillway deck is still closed until approximately November 30th.  The closure of the spillway deck is required to protect public safety as high flows on the Winnipeg River and heavy ice build-up on the spillway structure poses a safety risk.
