Manitoba Hydro continues to warn residents and resource users along the Winnipeg River from Pointe du Bois to Sagkeeng First Nation of record-high water flows due to extremely high precipitation in Northwest Ontario and Southern Manitoba.
The Winnipeg River is expected to crest June 7 – 9. Winnipeg River property owners and resource users will see water levels peak at various locations over the next four-to-six days:
- 1 inch upstream of Eight Foot Falls
- 2 inches in Nutimik Lake
- 2 inches in Dorothy Lake
- 2 inches in Margaret/Eleanor Lake
- 2 inches in Sylvia Lake
- 1 inch upstream of Silver Falls
- 3 inches in Powerview – Pine Falls
