Interested in learning to sail but not sure where to start? Already taken some lessons and wondering how to improve your skills? Looking for a reason to get social and meet other women in the South Whiteshell region? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above, then we have the program for you.
This summer, the Falcon and West Hawk Lake Sailing Clubs plan to launch a new joint program targeted at women and girls of all ages who have limited to no prior sailing experience. The program will offer an opportunity to learn to sail and race a small sailboat on Falcon Lake. To sustain and build on newly learned skills, we plan to offer training workshops, mentorship opportunities, and a sailing league dedicated to program participants. Mothers, daughters, and grandmothers can sail together for safe recreational fun on our beautiful lake in our fabulous provincial park.
We are still finalizing the details of the program offering, and we would like to ask for your help in making sure that we offer the program that you are looking for! If this sounds like something that you could be interested in, please fill out our quick survey at the link below for feedback on this program. We’re hoping to have all survey results by March 31.
