I have a healthy addiction for buttons. Buttons of all shapes and sizes, 2-holed, 4-holed, all colours and any type of materials used to create them. I do not discriminate. I learned to sew at the age of 5 (on a treadle machine if you can believe it) and I am sure thousand of buttons ave passed through my fingers. The real reason for my passion for buttons is that I find them very, very theraputic. I love how they feel, how they look and often wonder what type of garment they were used for and when. They help calm me when I’m upset and and cheer me when I am sad. I breaks my heart when I go to a yard or garage sale and the sellers tell me they “just threw out a box of them”.
