Pinawa Fire & Rescue Strengthens Water Rescue Capabilities

Pinawa Fire & Rescue Service has received a $24,714 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.

The funding will support specialized equipment and training for surface water and ice rescue operations.

With lakes, rivers and year-round recreational activities throughout the North Whiteshell, stronger water rescue capabilities are an important investment in community safety.

The new equipment and training will strengthen Pinawa Fire & Rescue Service’s ability to respond to emergencies on the water and ice.
