Expanded Fire Protection Coverage
A new fire protection agreement between the Pinawa Fire Department and Manitoba Parks is now in effect, providing coordinated fire response coverage from Brereton Lake through to Pointe du Bois in the North Whiteshell.
The partnership is designed to strengthen emergency preparedness and improve the region’s ability to respond quickly and effectively to fire-related incidents.
Expanded 9-1-1 Service
Also effective June 24, 9-1-1 emergency telephone service has been expanded to cover the entire Whiteshell region.
Residents, businesses, cottagers, and visitors throughout Whiteshell Provincial Park now have full access to 9-1-1 services for:
• Fire emergencies
• Medical emergencies
• Police emergencies
These enhancements represent an important investment in public safety and emergency response capabilities throughout the Whiteshell, helping ensure faster access to emergency services when they are needed most.
The Whiteshell Cottagers Association welcomes these improvements and thanks Manitoba Parks, the Pinawa Fire Department, and all partners involved in strengthening emergency services for our communities.
