Boil Water Advisory Issued for Toniata Beach Campground
The boil water advisory is now rescinded – August 19, 2026
A boil water advisory has been issued for the Toniata Beach Campground public water system following a power outage on August 7, 2026, which resulted in a loss of water pressure in the campground distribution system.
Until further notice, all water used for consumption should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use for:
• Drinking and making ice
• Preparing beverages, including infant formula
• Preparing food, including washing fruits and vegetables
• Brushing teeth
Tap water does not need to be boiled for laundry or dishwashing. Adults and older children who are able to avoid swallowing the water may bathe or shower. Young children should be sponge bathed. If boiling water is not practical, use bottled water or another safe water supply for consumption.
The advisory will remain in effect until the water supply is confirmed to no longer present a risk to public health. A notice will be issued when the advisory has been rescinded.
Please share this information with anyone who uses the campground water system.
