Manitoba Hydro is continuing vegetation maintenance work within Whiteshell Provincial Park as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain the safety and reliability of the electrical distribution system.

The work includes:
• Mechanical brush clearing.
• Tree trimming.
• Removal of hazard trees that may pose a risk to power lines.

According to Manitoba Hydro, the work is taking place between spring 2025 and winter 2026 along various distribution feeder lines throughout the Whiteshell.

While daytime power outages are not anticipated, Manitoba Hydro advises that, if required for safety reasons, affected customers will be notified at least 48 hours in advance.
