The Department of Fisheries is conducting fisheries monitoring on several lakes throughout Whiteshell Provincial Park from July 20 to August 21.

During this period, fisheries staff will be setting survey nets on the following lakes:

• Jessica Lake
• White Lake
• Betula Lake
• Red Rock Lake
• Brereton Lake
• Big Whiteshell Lake

The survey nets will be clearly marked with identifiers.

Boaters, anglers, and other water users are asked to use caution around the marked nets and avoid disturbing or removing them. These surveys help fisheries biologists monitor fish populations and collect important information that supports the sustainable management of Manitoba’s fisheries.

The Whiteshell Cottagers Association appreciates the cooperation of all lake users while this work is underway.

If additional information becomes available, we will share updates with our members.
