As reported in the Free Press
The province is warning some Falcon Lake cottage owners their cottages are in danger from rising water.
The province’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre issued a high water advisory Saturday saying water from the recent rainfall and late spring runoff is putting some properties at risk.
The centre says some Falcon Lake cottages on low-lying lots could be at risk because the lake is higher than it should be.
It also warned cottage owners on West Hawk Lake the lake is currently at the upper end of its operating range.
The province says the high water may be in the area for a few weeks depending on how much rain falls in the area. People are advised to watch local waterways, stay away from ice and water and call 511 to check road conditions.
