Passing on the Vacation Property
Whiteshell Cottagers Association has finalized arrangements for a Succession planning/ Tax strategies seminar specifically for cottage owners, put on by INVESTORS GROUP.
When the WCA tested the reception of cottage owners on WCA hosting such an event, the response was overwhelming. The planned Venue has a capacity of 150 & early indications are the event will quickly sell out.
There is NO CHARGE for Whiteshell Cottagers Association members to attend and registration will be limited to WCA members initially.
NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR MEMBERSHIP. We expect seminar registration to open within the next 1-2 weeks

Cottage Succession Planning Seminar
Qualico Family Center (Assiniboine Park)
This session will describe some of the complexities involved in passing down a vacation property to the next generation (including minimizing the capital gains tax), deciding how to pass the property onto the next generation (i.e. by gift or sale) and some of the challenges that can be faced where there are multiple owners.
Tuesday April 18, 2017 – doors open 6 pm, speaker starts 6:30pm ONLY 2017 WCA members can register
There is no charge for WCA members
Capacity is 150 & fully expect to sell out very, very quickly Registration will open around March 1, 2017
