The Whiteshell Cottagers Association, along with our partners at other Provincial Park Cottager Associations, are very pleased that an agreement to freeze the lease rate portion of Provincial Park Cottagers’ invoices at last year’s rate, has been reached with the Province today. This freeze will remain in place until a new process has been agreed upon for implementation. We look forward to constructive participation with the Ministry of Conservation and other stakeholders in a consultative process that will ensure that Manitoba’s Parks will continue to thrive as a resource for all Manitobans. We are particularly pleased that the Ministry has taken this step to ensure that the tradition of family cottaging in Provincial Parks will remain affordable for the people of Manitoba.
